The Collaborator's Guide

Everything a collaborator needs to know — receiving invites, reviewing offers, understanding contracts, and tracking payouts.

As a collaborator on EventSplit, you're invited by event organizers to participate in their event under a defined financial arrangement. Your role is to review the offer, decide if the terms work for you, sign the agreement, and track your payout.

Receiving an Invite

When an organizer invites you, you'll receive an email with the full offer details. The email includes a link to view the offer in your Collaborator dashboard. You don't need to be signed up yet — you'll be prompted to create an account if you don't have one.

Reviewing an Offer

In your Collaborator dashboard under 'My Offers', you'll see all pending offers. For each offer, you can review:

  • The event name, type, city, and date.
  • Your role and deliverables.
  • The offer type (revenue share, fixed fee, or hybrid).
  • The financial terms — exact percentage or amount.
  • The organizer's Trust Score — use this to assess reliability.
  • Any additional custom terms.

Check the organizer's Trust Score before accepting. An 'Elite Organizer' (90+) has a track record of completing events, submitting reports, and paying collaborators on time.

Accepting or Declining

Once you've reviewed the offer, you can accept or decline. If you accept, an agreement is generated. If you decline, the organizer is notified and can send a revised offer if they choose.

Understanding Your Contract

The contract documents the agreed terms. Read it carefully — it's legally binding once signed. It includes your role, deliverables, payment structure, and the organizer's full terms. You can view the contract in full before signing.

Once you sign, the contract is locked. Contact the organizer directly if you need to discuss changes before signing.

After the Event: Your Payout

After the event, the organizer logs all expenses and revenue and generates a Final Report. You'll receive a notification when the report is ready. The report shows the full financial breakdown including your calculated payout.

If you're on a revenue share, your payout depends on how the event performed financially. The organizer cannot change the percentage — it's locked in your signed agreement. The calculation is fully transparent in the report.

Your Trust Score

As a collaborator, you also build a Trust Score over time based on how many events you've completed, your average rating from organizers, and your overall responsiveness. A higher score makes it easier to get accepted for future offers.
